Israel Webster, (1753-1835), enlisted, 1776, under Capt. Ebenezer Webster and served in Col.
Thomas Stickney's regiment, Stark's brigade, at Bennington and Stillwater. He received a pension
as sergeant for his service in the New Hampshire Line. He was born in Salisbury, N. H., and died
in Belgrade, Maine.

1776. He was born in Dorchester, Mass., and died in Fitchburg, Mass.

Owen Biddle, (1737-99), was a delegate to the Provincial Congress and a member of the
Committee of Safety, 1775; a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, 1776, and President of
the Board of War, 1777. He was a ôFighting Quakerö and one of the eighty merchants of the city,
who, headed by Robert Morris, became responsible for army supplies when the soldiers were
suffering. His house was destroyed when the enemy occupied the city and on the site now stands
Girard College. He was born in Philadelphia, where he died.

David Westcott, (1719-1806), served in the Connecticut militia. He was born and died in
Wilton.
Daniel Westcott, (1754-1840), enlisted in the first call for troops. He was placed on the pension
roll for service as a private. He was born in Wescott and died in Wilton, Conn.
Deodate Gaylord, (1760-1840), enlisted as a private and received a pension. He was born and
died in Wilton.

Pollar's company, 1781. He was born in Harvard, Mass., where he died.
