granted in Ohio Co., Kentucky, to his widow for two years' actual service of her husband in the
Virginia Line.

1777. He was born and died in Norwich, Conn.

Jesse Whitney, (1730-1815), served as lieutenant in the army and on the Committee of Safety. He
was born in Mendon; died in Milford.
Wilson Chamberlain, (1724-91), turned out at various alarms. He was born in Charlestown,
Mass.; died in Holliston, Maine.

William Hammond, (1740-1814), served in the commissary under Col. Jacob Whitney, 1776. He
was born in Newton, Mass.; died in Bangor, Maine.
