Ebenezer Whitney, (1762-1855), enlisted 1781 for three years in Col. John Crane's regiment of artillery, Capt. Winthrop Sargent's company. He applied for a pension, 1826 and it was allowed for three years actual service as matross in the Massachusetts line. He was born in Mansfield, Conn., died in Montague, Mass.

[p.93] James Sumner, (1718-95), served on the Committee of Correspondence. He died in Milford.
Ephraim Brown was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm from Lynn where in 1717 he was born.
James Berry was placed on the pension roll 1820 at the age of seventy-six for one years actual service, Massachusetts line.
Eliphalet Bailey, (1747-1821), served in the Middlesex county militia as a private.
Phineas Warner served several enlistments from Harvard where in 1740, he was born.
Benoni Benson, Jr., (1724-1806), marched from Mendon as a minute man at the Lexington Alarm.
John Benson, (1751-1819), served as corporal and lieutenant in the Worcester county, Massachusetts militia.
John Dewing, at the age of 76, was placed on the pension roll 1832, for two years actual service as private.
Edmund Bowker, (1757-1841), was placed on the pension roll 1832, for fourteen months actual service as private, Massachusetts line. He was born in Hopkinton; died in Milford, Mass.
Ebenezer Taft, (1758-1836), was placed on the pension roll 1832, for over twenty-one months actual service as private, He was born in Mendon, where he died.
Benjamin Howard, (1740-83), who had served in the French war, was a soldier in the revolution. He was born and died in Mendon.
