died in Little Compton, R. I.

service, Connecticut line. He was born in Killingly, Conn.; died in Hartland, Vt.
Silas Bartlett, (1760-1840), served under Capt. Joseph Lyman in 1776 at Ticonderoga and in
short tours under different commands. In 1832 was allowed a pension for eleven months service
as private, Massachusetts line. He was born in Northampton, Mass.; died in Brandon, Vt.
Selah Belding, (1758-1838), served as private and corporal in the Massachusetts militia. He was
born in Hatfield, Mass.; died in Ontario county, N. Y.
Oliver Whitmore, (1738-1819), was a minute man from Conway at the Lexington Alarm. He was
born in Middletown, Conn.; died in Wolcott, N. Y.
Jonathan Whitney, (1737-92), served as captain of the Hampshire county, Massachusetts militia
1780. He was a member of the General Court. He was born in Milford, Mass.; died in Ontario
Co., N. Y.

Eliakim Howe, (1723-1805), signed the Association test of New Hampshire 1776 and was a
member of the alarm list of Henniker. He was born in Marlboro, Mass.; removed to Henniker, N.
H. 1763 and died in Maine.
