Descendant of Capt. Daniel Bouton (Boughton), Lieut. Nathan Adams, Ebenezer Johnson, and Thomas Greene.
Daughter of Frederick Eugene Adams (b. 1840) and Elizabeth Amanda Johnson (b. 1848), his wife, m. 1865.
Granddaughter of James Adams (1814-91) and Caroline L. Greene (1813-1901), his wife, m. 1835; Lothrop Johnson (1802-80) and Sophia Sage (1806-85), his wife, m. 1825.
Gr-granddaughter of Abram Adams (1774-1858) and Betsy Bouton (1770-1869), his wife; Ebenezer Johnson and Deborah Lathrop, his wife, m. 1783; Eben Greene (1782-1851) and Lydia Baker, his wife.
Gr-gr-granddaughter of Nathan Adams, Jr. (b. 1745), and Rhoda Scribner, his wife; Daniel Bouton and Sarah Andros, his wife; Thomas Greene and Elizabeth Whitney (1751-1822), his wife.
Gr-gr-gr-granddaughter of Nathan Adams and Mary Burr, his wife.
Daniel Bouton (1743-1820) served as lieutenant in the Westchester County, New York militia, and in 1780 was appointed captain of Levies. He lost his arm, 1781, and, 1784, received a pension. He died in Boutonville, N. Y.

Nathan Adams (1721-82) was a private in Captain Marvin's company of Connecticut troops for six years, and in 1782 was appointed lieutenant. He died in Westport, Conn.
Ebenezer Johnson (1760-1841) served as a privateersman during the Revolution from Massachusetts, or Maine, where he was born. He died in Buffalo, N. Y.
Thomas Greene (1753-1836) was placed on the pension roll of Broome County, N. Y., 1832, for service as private, New York troops. He was born in Wilton, Fairfield County, Conn.; died in Binghamton, Broome County, N. Y.

Granddaughter of Samuel Whitney and Amelia Hyde, his wife.
[p.212] Gr-granddaughter of Jacob Dana Hyde and Lucy Fitch, his wife.
Gr-gr-granddaughter of Joshua Hyde and Sarah (Sally) Fay, his wife.
Joshua Hyde (1722-79) responded to the Lexington Alarm in Capt. Abijah Moore's company of minute men, and also served under Captain Fay and Colonel Ward, Vermont militia. He was born in Newton, Mass.; died in Poultney, Vt.
Jacob Dana Hyde (1761-1827) served as a surgeon. He was born in Templeton, Mass.; died in Guilford, Vt.

Gr-granddaughter of William Scott and Ph£be Wood, his wife.
William Scott (1743-96) was lieutenant at Bunker Hill, where he was wounded and taken prisoner. He was captured at Fort Washington, 1776; was commissioned captain, 1777, and remained in the army until 1781. He then entered the navy on the frigate ôDaneö and served until peace was proclaimed. He was born in Peterboro, N. H.; died in Litchfield, N. Y.

[p.255] Reuben Sibley (1743-1810) commanded a company, 1776, of matross of the 2nd Sutton company. In 1778 served in Rhode Island under Col. Josiah Whitney. He was born and died in Sutton, Mass.

Philip Allen (1755-1809) served as a private at the Lexington and Rhode Island alarms. He was born and died in Attleboro, Mass.

Aaron Whitney (1740-1817) served as a private in Capt. Jotham White's company, Col. Samuel Fletcher's battalion, Vermont troops, from the beginning of the campaign until 1781. He was born and died in Harvard, Mass.
