Josiah Ballard served two enlistments in 1777. He was with the troops that reinforced the
Northern Army and aided in the defense of Ticonderoga.
Joseph Bennet was a soldier from Framingham in the company that marched to Cambridge and
served at the siege of Boston. He turned out in 1780 at the Rhode Island Alarm.

James Green was senior captain of the Second Militia Regiment of Light Horse through the entire
war. He turned out in the defense of New York, 1776, and was in the battle of Saratoga. His
company did valiant service in home defense.
William Webb served in Capt. Joshua Young's company, Col. Josiah Smith's First Suffolk County
Regiment, at the battle of Long Island. He died in 1832, aged eighty-six.
Ebenezer Webb was nearly eighty when war was proclaimed, but he was enrolled as an
Associator of Suffolk county.

died in Owego, New York, in 1826, at the age of ninety.

in 1779. He gave five years' continuous service.
