In the name of God Amen. I Susannah Whitney of Buckingham County being sick and weak in body but sound of mind and memory thanks be given to God....First I desire all my debts to be paid and the tract of land I now live on with the Island to be Sold towards raising of money to pay my debts only reserving the fishery on the lower point of the same Island with one acre of land to my 2 sons to them and their heirs or assigns forever. I give to my Son, John Christian, two hundred acres of land lying at the upper end of my land on Wreck Island Creek where the mill formerly stood and negroes Anthony, Nan, Chloe, and her child Davy their heirs or assigns forever. Item I give to my son George Christian all the rest of my land and negroes Charles, Dinah and Silva and their increase and my still to him and his heirs and assigns forever, and my desire is all that the remainder of my estate that is not partiularly mentioned in this will be equally divided between my two sons to their heirs of assigns forever and I appoint my two Sons John and Geo. Christian Executors of this my last will and Testament witness my hand this Seventh day of April One Thousand Seven hundred and eighty four Signed Sealed & delivered

In obdience to an order of the worshipped Court of Buckingham bearing date February Court 1782. we the subscribers being first Sworn do appraise the Estate of Jeremiah Whitney deceased as follows, to wit,

At a Court held for Buckingham County the 8th day of April 1782. This Inventory and appraisement of the Estate of Jeremiah Whitney deceased was returned and ordered to be recorded.

Memorandum of an agreement made and concluded on this fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty three Between Josiah Whitney of Dupelin County State of North Carolina Heir at law to Jeremiah Whitney deceased of the County of Buckingham State of Virginia of the one part and Susanna Whitney widow and relict of the said Jeremiah Whitney decd. of the other part, Witnesseth That the Josiah Whitney hath this day agreed to and with the said Susanna Whitney to divide the estate of the said Jeremiah Whitney decd. as followth, to wit, The said Josiah Whitney agrees hereafter have to the estate of the said Jeremiah Whitney decd, to wit, Ned, Venus, Judah, Rose, Dick, Daffney, Billey, Sheppard, Venas, Craden, and Tom. Together with one Horse in full of all Claims or demands he the said Josiah Whitney or any other person or persons may have claiming as Heir at law to the said Jeremiah Whitney deceased know ye that the said Josiah Whitney doth hereby for himself his Heirs and assigns relinquish unto the said Susanna Whitney widow of the said Jeremiah Whitney all right Tette or interest he may or any person or persons having of claiming un him unto the following Lands and slaves with other, to wit, Anthony, Charles, Nann, Dinah, Chloe, Silvy, Tinah, and David with their Increase also all right and Tette he has of may have unto a certain Tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Buckingham on both sides of Wrack Island Creek containing six hundred acres be the same more of less which was Patented in the name of David Rogers. ...........
