2. Enoch Lawrence, son of John and Elizabeth, was born in Watertown Mass. 5 March 1648/9 and died Groton, Mass. 28 September 1744. He married 6 March 1676 Ruth Whitney, who was born 15 April 1645 daughter of John and Ruth (Reynolds) and widow of John Shattuck of Watertown.

4. Daniel Lawrence, son of Enoch and Ruth (Whitney, Shattuck), was born Groton, Mass. 7 March 1681 and is buried in the Lower Cemetery (Mountain View), North Canaan, Conn 8 May 1777 ae 96. He married Sarah (_____) who died Plainfield, Conn. 26 January 1711/2. Married/2 5 November 1712 Hannah Jewell. Married/3 Plainfield Conn. 4 March 1724/5 Sarah Williams. Moved to Plainfield, Conn. between 1707 and 1709. Later lived with his son John, in Norfolk, Conn.

9. Jeremiah Lawrence, son of Daniel and Sarah, was born in Groton, Mass. and baptized 5 October 1707. He died Canaan, Conn. 9 July 1781 and is buried with his first wife Olive in the Lower or Mountain View Cemetery, North Canaan. He married Plainfield, Windham Co., Conn., 2 February 1729 Olive Wheeler who was born in Plainfield 13 January 1708/9 and died Canaan, Conn. 17 Apr. 1771/2 daughter of Ephraim and Elizabeth. Married/2 23 June 1772 Elizabeth Smith who died 31 March 1772 following the birth of a son on 24 March 1772. (The Town Clerk for the Town of Canaan has confirmed the dates as the ones existing in the records; thus the discrepancy is not explained.) Jeremiah married/3 6 Jul 1773 Elizabeth (Clarke) Higbe. By 1746 Jeremiah owned land in Canaan, Coon. He and his two brothers Isaac and Daniel Jr. are among the earliest settlers of Canaan.

24. David Lawrence, son of Jeremiah and Olive (Wheeler), was born Plainfield, Conn. 7 October 1732. He married Canaan, Conn. 16 September 1756 Sarah Tubbs who was born New Salem Parish (Colchester), Conn. 1 January 1740 daughter of Simon and Sarah (Wait).
