JOSHUA SKIFF, b. in Kent Co., CT [sic: should be Kent, Litchfield Co., CT --RLW] 17 Dec 1783, d. at his residence in Hume, 13 Aug 1846. Mr. Skiff came to Hume in 1830, from Oxford Co., ME. He md Elizabeth Whitney [sic: should be Whiting, per her gravestone --RLW], of Ringe, Cheshire Co., CT [sic: should be Rindge, Cheshire Co., NH --RLW] 10 July 1843. He served as supervisor five years, and as justice of the peace. pg. 315
