8130 I. Frances Melissa Whitney, b. in Patterson, N. Y., 24 July 1842; married, in 1860, William James Siver; died in Danbury, Conn., 4 Dec. 1868, and was buried in Wooster Cemetery. He was living in Danbury in March 1875.
8131 II. Hannah Maria Whitney, b. in Patterson, N. Y., 12 Nov. 1844; married in South Norwalk, Conn., 22 Ap. 1864, John Wesley Ridge, a hatter, son of James P. and Jane Hall (Treadwell) Ridge, of Bethel, Conn., where he was born 10 June 1839. They settled in Danbury, Conn., and were living there in Ap. 1875. 15472
8132 III. Sarah Emma Whitney, b. in Patterson, N. Y., 16 Nov. 1846; married in New York City, 1 Dec. 1862, Julius Beach Judd, a manufacturer of hats, son of Willis and Augusta M. (Mallory) Judd, of Bethel, Conn. He was born in Woodbury, Conn., 19 Sept. 1842. They settled in Bethel, and were living there in Feb. 1875. He was a soldier in the war of 1861. 15474
8133 IV. James Sherwood Whitney, b. in Patterson, N. Y., 24 Nov. 1848; a hatter; married in Rye, N. Y., 6 Oct. 1866, by Rev. L. C. Perry, Methodist Episcopal, to Jenny A. Brown, dau. of James Emery and Jerusha Valentine (Ferris) Brown, of South Norwalk, Conn. She was born in Westport, Conn., 25 July 1847. They settled in Norwalk, Conn., and were living there in Nov. 1875. He served in the war of 1861. 15476

8134 I. Charles Harrison Tilford, b. in Southeast, N. Y., 8 July 1836; a carpenter; married in Carmel, N. Y., 15 May 1869, Elizabeth Martin, who was born at Pine Hill, Canada West, 23 March 1845, dau. of Samuel and Jane (House) Martin. They settled in Frankfort, Indiana; and were living there, without children, in Feb. 1875. He enlisted, 27 Sept. 1861, in Co. I, 59th Reg., N. Y. S. Vol. Infantry; took part in the battles of Antietam, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Cold Harbor, and Petersburgh; was captured at the latter place, 22 June 1864, and was
