4104 II. David Lewis Washburn, b. at Newtown, Conn., 12 Jan. 1813; a farmer; married at Norwalk, Ohio, 11 Jan. 1834, by Rev. Henry O. Sheldon, Methodist Episcopal, to Irena Beardsley, dau. of Deacon John and Eunice (Garnsey) Beardsley, of Vermillion, Ohio, where she was born 1 Nov. 1815. They lived in Oberlin, Ohio, for three years; and then moved to Vermillion, where they were living in 1873. He has been justice of the peace for three years. 10847
4105 III. Charles Justus Washburn, b. at Southbury, Conn., 8 Ap. 1815; married at Vermillion, Ohio, 8 Ap. 1838, by Rev. Eldad Barber, Presbyterian, to Sally Ball, dau. of Charles and Sally Ball. They settled twenty rods north, and two hundred rods east, from Whitneyville, in Cascade, Mich.; and were living there in Sept. 1874.
4106 IV. Mariette Washburn, b. at Southbury, Conn., 23 Nov. 1817; married at Vermillion, Ohio, 23 Feb. 1842, by Rev. Phineas Barber, Methodist Episcopal, to Benajah Roswell Butler, a farmer, who was born at Stafford, N. Y., 10 June 1820, son of Benjamin and Pamelia (Wallace) Butler. They lived for a few years in Florence, Ohio, about two miles from her father's house; then removed to Michigan, settling near the village of Whitneyville, in Cascade, 29 Oct. 1849; moved to Orleans, Mich., 25 March 1868; and were living there, on a fine farm, in Sept. 1874. He enlisted at Whitneyville, 5 Sept. 1862, in Co. M, 6th Reg., Mich. Vol. Cavalry; and was discharged, on account of ill health, 29 Sept. 1863, at the Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn. 10854

Benjamin Summers Washburn, b. at Vermillion, Ohio, 15 Ap. 1820; a farmer; married 29 Jan. 1849, at Columbus, Ohio, where her father then lived, Sarah Jane Brobeck, who was born in Shenandoah Co., Va., 30 March 1823, dau. of William and Rebecca (Baker) Brobeck. He has lived in Columbus for three years; in Oberlin, Ohio, one year; and the rest of his life in Vermillion, which was their home in Sept. 1874. 10857
4108 VI. Adelpha Harris Washburn, b. at Vermillion, Ohio, 8 March 1822; married there, 6 Feb. 1845, by Rev. Eldad Barber, Presbyterian, to John Harrison. They were living at Birmingham, Ohio, in 1874.
4109 VII. Betsey Summers Washburn, b. at Vermillion, Ohio, 26 July 1824; married there, 15 June 1852, James Sheffield Mordoff, a farmer, who was born in Byron, N. Y., son of Archibald and Deborah (Record) Mordoff, formerly of Chenango Co., N. Y. They settled in Florence, Ohio, and were living there in 1874. 10863
