They were living at 249 East 13th Street, New York, in Feb. 1875.

Moses Selleck Mather, b. at Darien, Conn., 19 June 1831; a merchant; married there, in the Congregational Church, 2 June 1858, Mary Ellen Stevens, dau. of James and Sally (Howe) Stevens, of Darien. She was born at 168 Rivington Street, New York City, 17 Oct. 1831. They were living at Darien in Feb. 1875.

George Messenger Mather, b. at Darien, Conn., 5 Oct. 1833; a book-keeper; married at her mother's house, 94 First Street, New York, 5 May 1859, Sarah Elizabeth Clowes, who was born at Hempstead, L. I., 14 May 1834, dau. of Samuel Benson and Catharine Bontecou (Rhodes) Clowes. They were living at New York in March 1875. He enlisted at Darien, 9 Sept. 1862, in Co. C, 28th Reg., Conn. Vol. Infantry; was appointed sergeant 6 Nov. 1862, and first sergeant 5 Feb. 1863; and was discharged at New Haven, Conn., 28 Aug. 1863, having assisted in the siege and reduction of Port Hudson.

IV. Mary Frances Mather, b. at Darien, Conn., 5 Nov. 1835; married there, in her father's house, 19 Aug. 1874, Zalmon Richards, of Washington, D. C., who was born in Cummington, Mass., 11 Aug. 1811, son of Nehemiah and Elizabeth (Packard) Richards. They were living at 1401 New York Avenue, Washington, in Feb. 1875. He has been superintendent of public schools in Washington, and auditor of the District of Columbia.
