4658 II. ----- Slason, a dau., b. at Darien, Conn.; died at Darien, and was buried there.
4659 III. Ann Eliza Slason, b. at Darien, Conn., 7 Jan. 1832; married there, in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 13 Oct. 1859, by Rev. Erastus Webster, to Charles Ambrose Bates, a dealer in coal, son of Charles Augustus and Polly (Tuttle) Bates, of Darien, where he was born 27 Ap. 1837. They settled at Darien, and were living there in March 1876. He was then selectman of the town and warden of St. Luke's Church, and held some minor offices. 12025
4660 IV. Eugene Pulaski Slason, b. at Darien, Conn., 15 Aug. 1835; a builder and contractor; married at Westport, Conn., 18 Nov. 1860, by Rev. Mr. Purvis, Episcopal, to Margaret Ellen Smith, dau. of William and Olive (Lockwood) Smith, of Westport, where she was born 20 Nov. 1840. They settled at Bridgeport, Conn., and were living there in March 1876. He enlisted, 10 Sept. 1862, at Fairfield, Conn., in Co. I, 23d Reg., Conn. Vol. Infantry. 12030
4661 V. Francis Slason, b. at Darien, Conn., 23 Jan. 1846; a bookseller; married in Trinity (Episcopal) Church at Southport, Conn., 1 Dec. 1870, by Rev. E. L. Wells, to Harriet Frances Nichols, dau. of Bradley and Sarah Ann (Mills) Nichols, of Stratford, Conn. She was born at Black Rock, Conn., 18 Oct. 1850. Her father died in the Union army, 20 June 1864. They settled at Bridgeport, Conn., and were living there in March 1876. He was then of the firm of E. A. Lewis & Co., 234 Main Street, dealers in books and stationery. 12039

4662 I. Mary Whitney, b. at Darien, Conn., 17 Oct. 1826; and was living there, unmarried, in June 1874.
4663 II. Henry Platt Whitney, b. at Darien, Conn., 15 Oct. 1828; a carriage-maker; married there, 23 Oct. 1853, by Rev. E. D. Kenny, Congregational, of Darien, to Hannah Maria Brown, of Haverstraw, N. Y. He enlisted at Darien, 8 Aug. 1862, in Co. B, 17th Reg., Conn. Vol. Infantry; and served for three years. He lived at Darien in June 1874. 12040
4664 III. Sarah Amelia Whitney, b. at Darien, Conn., 4 June 1832; died at Darien, 12 Ap. 1836; and was buried there, in a private cemetery.
