4031 III. Augustus Comstock Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 2 Ap. 1812; a hatter; married at Poughkeepsie, N. Y. 13 Dec 1836, Mary Lucetta Trowbridge, dau. of Matthew and Rachel (Hickok) Trowbridge, of Bethel. She was born at Pine Plains, N. Y. 22 Jan. 1814. They dwelt at Bethel till 1844; at Wilmington, N. C., till 1846; at Athens, Ga., 1848 to 1850; at New York City till 1869; and were living at Bethel in Sept. 1875. 10696
4032 IV. Frederick Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 8 May 1815; a hatter; married there, 10 Nov. 1839, by Rev. John Greenwood, Congregational, at the house of her brother, Charles S. Smith, to Eliza Hannah Smith, dau. of Joseph and Martha (Wilmot) Smith, of Bridgewater, Conn. She was born at Brookfield, Conn., 20 Ap. 1817. They settled at Bethel, and were living there in Sept 1875. He has been town-clerk for several years, and judge of probate since 1871. 10697
4033 V. Charles Henry Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 5 Oct. 1817; a hatter; married at Brookfield, Conn., 26 Ap. 1843, by Rev. Thomas T. Guion, Episcopal, to Fanny Gregory, dau. of Lewis and Hannah (Beebe) Gregory, of Brookfield, where she was born 6 Nov. 1818. They settled at Bethel (which he represented in the Legislature of Conn., in 1872), and were living there in Sept. 1875. 10702
4034 VI. Andrew Comstock Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 6 March 1820; a merchant; married at Warsaw, Mo., 14 March 1850, by Rev. J. V. Harks, Presbyterian, to Martha Ramsay, dau. of James and Martha (Williams) Ramsay, of Howard and Benton Counties, Mo. She was born in Howard Co., 14 July 1830. She died at Bethel, 25 July 1862, and was buried there. He was married (2d), 11 July 1864, by Rev. J. L. Townsend, Episcopal, to Hattie Clarissa Wildman, dau. of Hubbell and Sally Maria (Dobbs) Wildman, of Brookfield, Conn. She was born at Pawling, N. Y., 22 Sept. 1835. He lived at New Haven, Conn., from 1834 to 1840; at Warsaw, Mo., from 1842 till 1861; and then moved to Pleasant Hill, Mo., where they were living in Aug. 1875. 10706
4035 VII. George Irving Shepard, b. at Bethel, Conn., 22 Sept. 1822; a merchant; married at Guilford, Conn., 22 Sept 1844, by Rev. L. T. Bennett, Protestant Episcopal, to Susanna Loper, dau. of Henry and Anna (Fowler) Loper, of Guilford, where she was born 10 July 1826. She died at Warsaw, Mo., 31 Oct 1852, and was buried at Guilford. He married (2d), 16 Aug. 1855, at New York City, Clara Trowbridge, Parsons, dau. of Abraham and Amelia (Trowbridge) Parsons, of New York. She was born at Pine Plains, N.Y., 21 Oct. 1821. He dwelt in Macon, Ga., from 1838 to 1846; at Warsaw, Mo., till 1864; and then moved to Pleasant Hill, Mo., where he was living in Aug. 1875. 10710
