I. Joseph Fowler Wright, b. at Cortlandt, N. Y., 11 Nov. 1800; a tanner, currier and trader; married, 30 July 1828, Emeline Pamelia Leake; and settled in New York City, opening a store for the sale of leather and findings, in Spring Street, near Clinton Market. He died in New York, 17 July 1832, of Asiatic cholera; and was buried there, in St. John's Cemetery. She afterward married Philemon Canfield.

II. James Wright, b. at Cortlandt, N.Y., 26 May 1802; a maker of boots and shoes; married at her father's house in Stony Street, Yorktown, N. Y., 27 Jan. 1824, by Rev. Mr. Wynkoop, pastor of the Crompond Presbyterian Church, to Zillah Hart, who was born in Yorktown, 7 Jan. 1807, dau. of Samuel and Hannah (Garrison) Hart. They settled at Peekskill, N. Y.; went to Owasco, N. Y., 27 May 1836, and thence, in Nov. 1836, to Starkey, N. Y., where he engaged in farming till 1852; then moved to the village of Dundee, in the west part of the same town; and thence, after six years, to Geneva, N. Y. where she died 17 Ap. 1862. She was buried in Dundee. He married (2d), 17 Aug. 1862, Marietta Hathaway, widow of Jonathan Miles, of Woodhull, N. Y, She was born in Milo, N. Y., 18 Oct. 1816, dau. of Abner and Hannah (Kirk) Hathaway, who came from Morris Co., N. J. They settled in Bath, N. Y.; and, after four years, moved to Kansas City, Mo., where they were living, at 1312 Summit Street, in Sept. 1874.
