p. 71, #778: Mercy6 WHITNEY surely was the one who married, 22 Sep 1772, Newton, MA, Philemon WOODWARD, according to Newton vital records.

p. 71, #785: Mary6 WHITNEY was born 6 Mar 1744, Weston, MA, according to Weston vital records.
p. 71, #785: Mary6 WHITNEY did not marry Amos FISKE. Instead it was Mary6 WHITNEY, daughter of Joseph5 and Mary (CHILD) WHITNEY [John4, Joseph3, John2, John1], #290 on page 44, who contracted that marriage. This is proven by Joseph5 WHITNEY's will dated 13 Oct 1788, Weston, MA, in which he mentions wife Mary and daughter Mary wife of Amos FISKE of Weston, according to Middlesex County Probate Records, File #24700. The subsequent history of this Mary WHITNEY is unknown. Apparently Pierce has copied this error from Bond's Watertown, volume 1, page 647.

p. 71, #790: Abigail6 WHITNEY married, 5 Mar 1778, Weston, MA, Samuel CURTIS "Esq.", according to Weston vital records.
