Family:Farnsworth, Matthias (1732-1805)

Matthias Farnsworth (Matthias, Elizabeth³ Whitney, Joshua², John¹), son of Matthias and Abigail (Shed) Farnsworth. was born 25 Dec 1732, Groton, MA, and died 23 Nov 1805.

He married, 11 Apr 1765, Harvard, MA, Mary Preston, daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Bridges) Preston. She was born 13 May 1742, Middleton, MA, and died unknown. She married secondly, 4 Nov 1813, Harvard, MA, Samuel Felch "of Royalston".

Children of Matthias and Mary (Preston) Farnsworth, both born Harvard, MA:

i.	Samuel Farnsworth, b. 24 Sep 1767; d. 17 Jan 1834, Groton, MA; m.(1) 18 May 1788, Hannah Treadwell; m.(2) circa 1804, Hannah Tuttle.
ii.	Mary Farnsworth, b. 3 Oct 1771; m. 3 Jan 1792, Nehemiah Ramsdell. She was also known as Polly Farnsworth.
