Amos Fellows (Abigail Hutchins, Abigail3 Whitney, Joshua2, John1), son of Isaac and Abigail (Hutchins) Fellows. was born 21 Apr 1729, Plainfield, CT,[1] and died 17 Feb 1777, New York, NY.[2]
He married, 21 Mar 1750/1, Tolland, CT, Abigail Lathrop. She died 25 Jun 1773, Tolland, CT.
In 1776 Amos was a captain in the 22nd Regiment with the Continental Army. He was taken prisoner in New York by the British and confined in a prison ship. He died in captivity and was buried at Tolland. His death was considered by all who knew him as a great loss. He was a man of intellect and great decision and firmness, and was thought that he could have progressed to a very superior grade had he survived. source: Mark.
