Thomas Whitney Randall (Olive Guthrie, Sarah7 Whitney, Joshua6, Thomas5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Allen and Olive8 (Guthrie) Randall, was born 1 Oct 1841, Whitney Point, Broome Co., NY, and died 13 Feb 1919, Amboy, Blue Earth Co., MN. Thomas moved to Sterling Township, MN, in 1866, where he opened a general merchandise store. He moved with his family to Amboy in 1879, where he opened a new store which he operated until 1914.

He married, 20 Jul 1873, Clarinda Pleasant Secrest, daughter of David and Bathsheba Jane (Burns) Secrest. She was born 1 Jul 1855, Bethesda, Belmont County, OH (her obituary says in Illinois), and died 9 Dec 1948, San Diego, San Diego Co., CA.

They lived in Sterling Township and Amboy.

i. George G. Randall, b. 16 Jun 1874, Sterling Township, d. unknown, m. 29 Jun 1896, Christine Johnson.
ii. Mark Twain Randall, b. 12 Oct 1877, Sterling Township, d. unknown, m. 2 Oct 1900, Susan Mallery.
iii. Sarah Theresa Randall, b. 2 Sep 1883, Amboy, d. 1924, m.(1) 6 Jun 1904, Albert N. Eels; m.(2) to B. Stuart.
iv. Catherine Jane Randall, b. 15 Jul 1888, Amboy, d. 14 Oct 1970, San Diego, San Diego Co., CA, m. 16 Nov 1918, Amboy, Earl Leslie Cornell.
