Adams6 Whitney (Isaac5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Isaac5 and Mary (Crockett) Whitney, was born 6 May 1784, Gorham, ME,[1] and died 25 Dec 1864, Standish, ME.[2]

Marriage intentions were filed 15 May 1816, Standish, ME, for him "of Standish" and Lydia A. Lombard "of Gorham".[3] He married, 3 Jun 1816, Gorham, ME, Lydia A. Lombard. She was born 1801, ME, and died 15 Sep 1870, Standish, ME.[4]

Both Adams and Lydia are buried in the Dolloff Road Cemetery, Standish, ME.

They resided in Standish, ME, where he was a farmer.

He fought in the War of 1812: "Whitney, Adam, Private, Capt. John York's Company, Lt. Col. J. Burbank's Regt. Served from September 7 to September 20, 1814, 1 day additional for travel. Raised at Standish, service at Portland."[5]
