Family:Whitney, Adolphus (c1786-1869)

Adolphus Whitney (Benjamin), son of Benjamin and Jerusha (Brockway) Whitney, was born about 11 Aug 1786, NH, or Westminster, VT, and died 14 Dec 1869, Hartland, Windsor Co., VT, aged 83 years 4 months 3 days of pneumonia.^[1]

He "of Westminster" married, 31 Aug 1808, Putney, VT, Martha Powers,^[2] daughter of Jonas and Mary (Tower) Powers. She was born about 1785, VT, and died after 1850, and apparently before 1860.

iv.	(son) Whitney, b. 1820-1825, deduced from 1830 and 1840 census. Probably Edward Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1825, Hartland, VT; m. Adeline Balch.
