Alonzo⁹ Whitney (Benjamin⁸, John⁷, Abner⁶, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Benjamin⁸ and Mehitabel (Whitcomb) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1834, Fitchburg, MA,^[1] and died 24 Jul 1894, Somerville N. Hospital, Newton, MA, aged 59 years 8 months 1 day, of tuberculosis.^[2]

He married firstly, 30 Aug 1868, Leominster, MA, Vasta Amelia Kendall^[3] or Vashti Aurelia Kendall, daughter of T. Loring and Vashti H. (-----) Kendall. She was born about 1840, MA, and died between 1870 and 1880.

He married secondly, 21 Oct 1877, Newport, NH, Stella R. Dartt.^[4] She was born about 1847, NH, and died after 1880.

He resided Claremont, NH.
