Alpheus⁷ Whitney (Eliab T.⁶, Josiah⁵, John⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Eliab T.⁶ and Lydia (Williams) Whitney, was born 16 Feb 1840, Newcastle, ME, and died 30 Oct 1897, Saco, ME. He is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Bath, ME.

He married firstly, 23 Jul 1864, Edgecomb, ME, Mehitable C. "Hattie" Tibbets. She was born 1837, Bath, ME, died 4 Dec 1880, Bath, ME, and was buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Bath, ME. She had no known children.

He married secondly, 24 Oct 1884, or 25 Oct 1883, Bath, ME, "Mrs." Georgia F. Hilton.^[1] She was born 29 Jul 1857.

He returned from Gloucester, MA, to Bath, ME, before 15 Dec 1868, and resided there until between 1883 and 1884. He was a carpenter.

He is a carpenter; res Brooklyn, NY, 167 55th St.
