Amaziah7 Whitney (Caleb6, Caleb5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Caleb6 and Elizabeth (Hyde) Whitney, was born 18 Nov 1767, Newton, MA, and died between 1820 and 1830.

He married, 19 Apr 1795, Roxbury, MA, Sarah Trull.[1] She was born about 1776, and died about 10 Sep 1833, Salem, MA, aged 57 years.

In some records, his name is given as Amariah or Asa Whitney. He resided Danvers, MA.

i. Sarah Proctor8 Whitney, b. ca. 1 Mar 1796, Charlestown, MA; d. 6 Jul 1887, aged 91 years 4 months 7 days, of cancer of the liver;[2] "Miss" "of Boston" m. (int. 28 Aug 1818, Waltham, MA[3]) 13 Sep 1818, Boston, MA, "Mr." Peter Sanborn "of Waltham".[4]
ii. Abigail Whitney, b. 17 Mar 1797, Roxbury, MA;[5] apparently died young.
iii. Caleb Whitney, b. 24 Mar 1798, Roxbury, MA;[6] apparently living in 1810, but not found in 1820 or later.
iv. Hasket Derby Whitney, b. 28 Oct 1804, Danvers, MA;[7] m. Joanna L. Wallis.
v. Abigail Whitney, b. 3 Oct 1807, Danvers, MA;[8] m. 16 Oct 1833, Salem, MA, John Waters, 3d.[9]
vi. Daniel Sanderson Whitney, b. 4 Feb 1810, Danvers, MA;[10] m. Hannah Sophia P. Cotton.
vii. Harriet B. Whitney, b. ca. 1815, Brighton, MA; m. 19 Aug 1844, Brighton, MA, Alfred Hamilton, b. ca. 1802, Brighton, MA, son of William and Rachel (-----) Hamilton.[11]
