Andrew Griswold⁶ Whitney (John Mirick⁵, Caleb⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of John Mirick⁵ and Edith (-----) Whitney, was born 2 Oct 1786, NC,^[1] and died 5 Oct 1826, Detroit, MI, aged 39 years; bur. Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.^[2]

He married, 3 Apr 1820, Detroit, MI, or Hudson, NY, Ann Eliza Talman, daughter of John and Heroine (Jenkins) Talman.^[3] She was born about 1804, Columbia Co., NY, and died 22 Dec 1862, aged 57 years. She was bur. Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.^[4]

"Government and Legal Records of Michigan: Andrew G. Whitney, Bank of Michigan stockholder, 1818, on April 3, 1820 married Ann Eliza Tallman, dau. of John, once Mayor of Hudson, NY. Her sister was Mrs. John Whiting. Andrew died 5 Oct. 1826, age 59.^[5]

"Whitney, Andrew G., U.S. Att. and member of Legislature Council, of Mich. Terr., d. in Detroit, aged 39 (C.C. Oct. 28, 1826)"^[6]
