Benjamin Cady⁶ Whitney (Cornelius⁵, Joshua⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Cornelius⁵ and Sarah Church (Cady) Whitney, was born 14 Apr 1788, CT, and died 2 Apr 1859, Portageville, NY.

He married, 16 Feb 1820, Betsey Marchant. She was born 27 Nov 1792, Granville, NY, and died 5 Nov 1887, Jamestown, NY.

He was a farmer. He resided Conesus, NY.
