Charles6 Whitney (Jonathan5, James4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Abigail (Hemminway) Whitney, was born 17 Jun 1786, Fitzwilliam, NH,[1] or Hartland, VT, and died 31 Dec 1866, VT.
He married firstly, 3/30 May 1813, Brookfield, VT, Abigail Smith.[2] She was born Brookfield, VT, and apparently died before 1850.
He married secondly, before 1860, Samantha Hall, daughter of Samuel and Lucy (Parmelee) Hall. She was born about Feb 1807, Starksboro, VT, and died 30 Jun 1879, Brookfield, VT, aged 72 years 4 months, of cancer.[3]
