Charles C.8 Whitney (Charles7, Charles6, Daniel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Charles7 and Martha G. (Collins) Whitney, was born 2 May 1840, Watertown, MA, and died 5 Nov 1886, Boston, MA, car driver, married, aged 46 years 6 months 3 days, of Bright's disease.[1]
He married, about 1864, Helen A. Dyer, daughter of William H. and Olive M. (-----) Dyer. She was born about 1846, Portland, ME, and died 16 Dec 1881, Boston, MA, aged 36 years, 4 months 26 days, of pulmonary phthisis and exhaustion, resided Washington Street.[2]
In 1886 he was a car driver living at 71 Windsor St., Boston, MA.

Isabel Mae Whitney, b. 23 Jan 1872, Cambridge, MA; d. 19 Aug 1872, Cambridge, MA. iii. Helen Elizabeth Whitney, b. 12 Apr 1873, Cambridge, MA (recorded in Boston, MA);[6] d. 22 Jan 1901, Boston, MA, aged 27 years, of mitral regurgitation and phthisis pulmonalis;[7] m. 29 Mar 1899, Boston, MA, William H. Yeo, Jr., b. ca. 1873, Boston, MA, son of William H. and Elizabeth A. (McDonald) Yeo.[8]
