Charles Harold9 "Harry" Whitney (Charles Louis8, John Drury7, Ebenezer6, Micah5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Charles Louis8 and Florence Jessie (Gibson) Whitney, was born 10 Jul 1900, Hyde Park, MA,[1] and died 27 Jun 1973, Wareham, MA.
He married 19 Jun 1937, Hyde Park, MA, Ruth F. Warren, daughter of Charles A. and Mary F. (Butterworth) Warren. She was born 27 Jun 1897, Medford, MA, and died 12 Jan 1978, Wareham, MA.
Harry Whitney was a long time employee of, and retiree from, the Sturtevant Division of the Westinghouse Corp. in Hyde Park, MA, where he worked in the sales department. He and Ruth lived for many years in Randolph, MA, then for a few years in Abington before retiring to Wareham, MA. Harry was a devotee of fishing, for mackerel in the summer and smelts in the winter months. Both he and Ruth are buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park, MA.
