He married, 3 Jun 1818, Nantucket, MA, Eliza Sandford, daughter of Samuel and Lydia (Wyer) Sandford.[3] She was born about Apr 1794, Nantucket, MA, and died 16 Jul 1865, Nantucket, MA, aged 71 years 3 months, of strangulated hernia.[4]
