David⁶ Whitney (Roswell⁵, David⁴, David³, Joshua², John¹), son of Roswell⁵ and Phebe (Ellsworth) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1798, New Paltz, NY, and died 18 Nov 1855, Lake Co., IL, aged 59 years 27 days. He is buried in Diamond Lake Cemetery, Diamond Lake, IL. FindAGrave Memorial 50418890.

He married, before 1821, Nancy -----. She was born about 1802, NY, and died after 1870.
