David8 Whitney (David7, Samuel6, Ebenezer5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of David7 and Magdaline (Russell) Whitney, was born 3 Mar 1854, Whitney, NB, and died 1 Nov 1903, North Andover, MA, aged 48 years 4 months 5 days, of laryngitis.[1] He was buried in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
He married firstly, about 1880, Priscilla Mullin. She was born about 1854, Cassilis, NB, and died 20 Jan 1882, Red Bank, NB, She was buried in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
He married secondly, 1887, NB, Elizabeth McLean. She was born 27 Feb 1855, Newcastle, NB, and died 10 Oct 1904, Whitney, NB.
They lived at Whitney, Northumberland Co., NB, Canada.
David8 and Priscilla (Mullin) Whitney had no children.

Gladys Mae Whitney, b. 11 Sep 1894, West Superior, WI; d. 20 Jul 1974, Kelso, WA; m.(1) 19 Jun 1917, New York, NY, William Theodore Goettling; m.(2) aft. 1930, OR, Otto George. iii. Elsie Elizabeth Whitney, b. 25 Jun 1897, WI; d. 12 Jul 1952, Munster, IN; bur. Newcastle, NB; m. Charles Rhodes. She worked in Japan as a secretary with a steel company, and may have died in Chicago, IL.
