Family:Whitney, David (s1805-a1840)

David⁸ Whitney ([prob.] Lyman⁷, Phinehas⁶, Joshua⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), probably son of Lyman⁷ and Maria (Jerome) Whitney, was born between 1800 and 1810, and died after 1840, and probably before 1850.

I believe he married, before 1830, Susan -----. She was born about 1798, CT, and died after 1850.

Children of David⁸ and Susan (-----) Whitney:

i.	Mary9 Whitney, b. ca. 1830, NY.
ii.	Frances Whitney, b. ca. 1832, NY.
iii.	Jane Whitney, b. ca. 1834, NY.
iv.	(son) Whitney, b. 1835-1840; not in family in 1850.

Notes

It seems likely that he was son of Lyman⁷ and Maria (Jerome) Whitney, since he and his putative brother Jerome lived in Elbridge, NY, in 1840, and his widow and Jerome lived in Elbridge in 1850.
