Ebenezer⁶ Whitney (Micah⁵, Abel⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Micah⁵ and Hannah (Cobb) Whitney; born 15 Oct 1791, Gorham, ME, or 15 Aug 1791, Phillips, ME,^[1] and died 18 Nov 1874, Freeman, ME.

He married, 26 Dec 1842, Dorcas (Drury) Parlin, daughter of John and Anna (Mitchell) Drury. She was born 28 Mar 1812, Temple, Kennebec Co., Maine, and died 1 Apr 1894, Franklin, MA, aged 82 years 4 days, of old age.^[2] She had married firstly, 7 Apr 1836, Kennebec Co., ME, Simon Parlin. Simon died in Wilton, ME, 25 Jan 1837, three months before the birth of his son, Simon W. Parlin, who was born 17 Apr 1837, East Wilton, ME. Simon W. Parlin was not adopted by Ebenezer Whitney, but was raised in his household.
