Edward P.7 Whitney (Luther6, Daniel5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Luther6 and Lydia (Packard) Whitney, was born about 22 Mar 1834, Thorndike, ME, and died 8 Mar 1872, Methuen, MA, aged 37 years 11 months 16 days, of consumption.[1]
He married, 24 Nov 1859, Lawrence, MA, Abby Jane Leighton, daughter of Stephen and Susan (Montgomery) Leighton.[2] She was born about 24 Apr 1836, Strafford, NH, and died after 1880.

Whitney, b. 23 Apr 1870, MA, Lawrence, MA;[7] d. 21 Mar 1871, Lawrence, MA, aged 10 months 21 days, of scrofula.[8]
