Elias Scott6 Whitney (Nathan5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathan5 and Sarah (Godfrey) Whitney, was born 1809, MA; died between 1840 and 1850, New Orleans, LA.

Marriage intentions were published 14 Dec 1834, Augusta, ME, for him and Sarah Godfrey "of Brunswick".[1] He married, Brunswick, ME, Sarah Godfrey.[2] She was born about 1807, Harpswell, ME, and died 1872. She married secondly, 30 Apr 1853, Augusta, ME, William Oliver, son of William, Jr., and Sarah (-----) Oliver He was born 9 Mar 1796, MA, and died 11 Dec 1864, Malden, MA.

Elias S. Whitney resided Augusta, ME.
