Elisha6 Whitney (Elisha5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Elisha5 and Eunice (Farley) Whitney,[1] was born 7 Oct 1777, Beverly, MA,[2] baptized 12 Jul 1778, Ipswich, MA,[3] and "Capt." died 23 Feb 1813, Beverly, MA, aged 35 years, of dropsy.[4]
He married, 7 Dec 1803, Beverly, MA, Clarissa Lovett,[5] daughter of Benjamin and Betsey (Lovett) Lovett.[6] She was born 8 Jun 1780, Beverly, MA,[7] and died 13 Dec 1814, Beverly, MA, aged 34 years 6 months, of fever.[8]
Children of Elisha6 and Clarissa (Lovett) Whitney, if any, unknown. The 1810 census shows a female 0-9 who could be a daughter or a niece.
