Esther5 Whitney (David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), daughter of David4 and Elizabeth (Hyatt) Whitney, was born 3 Feb 1751, Norwalk, CT,[1] and died 20 Jun 1830, Walton, NY.
She married, 27 Oct 1773, Norwalk, CT, or 28 Oct 1773, New Canaan, CT, Phinehas St. John "both of Norwalk",[2] son of Nathan and Lois (St. John) St. John, by Rev. William Drummond, Congregational. He was born 15 Dec 1748, Norwalk, CT, and died 20 Dec 1832, Walton, NY.
Phoenix says the following:
- They settled in Wilton, Conn., and afterward moved to Walton, N.Y., where they died .... He served in the Revolutionary War.
