Ezra6 Whitney (Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Ezra5 and Mercy (Morse) Whitney, was born 29 Aug 1759, Douglas, MA.[1]

He married, 5 Mar 1788, Brookline, MA, Betsey Marshall,[2] daughter of William and Mary (-----) Marshall. She was born about 27 Jan 1767, Boston, MA, and died 13 Apr 1860, Boston, MA, aged 93 years 2 months 16 days, of old age.[3]

Ezra owned the covenant at the Hollis Street Church, Boston, MA, 31 May 1789.[4]

They resided Douglas, MA.

i. Betsey Marshall7 Whitney, b. -----; bp. 31 May 1789, Boston, MA.[5] She was probably the "Eliza M Whitney" whose ring is still owned by a descendant of her brother, William Whitney. The ring is inscribed "Eliza M Whitney, obt. Jan 22, 1822 - AE* 32".
ii. Harriett Williams Whitney, b. ca. 1791, MA; bp. 27 Mar 1791, Boston, MA;[6] d. 11 Jul 1871, Boston, MA, aged 80 years 4 months, of apoplexy;[7] m. 11 Feb 1813, Roxbury, MA, Joseph Strong, of South Hadley, MA;[8] living with her brother in 1850, surname Whitney.
iii. William Whitney, b. ca. 9 Dec 1792, Boston, MA;[9] bp. 16 Dec 1792, Boston, MA;[10] m. Sarah Butler.
