Francis Whitney (Ransford, Samuel), son of Ransford and Eunice (Parmenter) Whitney, was born about 1830, MA, and died after 1875.
He married firstly, before 1849, Mary E. Flagg, dau. of Ebenezer and Sebrina (-----) Flagg.[1] She was born about 30 Jul 1834, Halifax, NS, and died 31 Jul 1862, Millbury, MA, aged 28 years 1 day, of consumption.
He married secondly, 23 Nov 1867, Shirley, MA, Nancy (Freeman) Sutton, daughter of Whipple and Susan (Webber) Freeman.[2] She was born about 1829, Smithfield, RI, and died between 1870 and 1875. She had married firstly, 16 Jun 1859, Douglas, MA, James Sutton, who died 24 Oct 1864, Millbury, MA.
He married thirdly, 22 Oct 1875, Grafton, MA, Mary E. Flagg. [Note: The same name as the first wife.--RLW]

i. Emma J. Whitney, b. ca. Sep 1849, MA; not in family in 1855. ii. William Francis Whitney, b. 15 Sep 1852, Millbury, MA;[3] d. 27 Nov 1875, Sutton, MA, aged 23 years, of consumption.[4] iii. Estella J. Whitney, b. ca. 1854, Auburn, MA. iv. Eben Delano Whitney, b. 15 Aug 1856, Auburn, MA;[5] m. Ida Maybelle Bosworth. iii. Dennis Whitney, b. 11 Aug 1857, Millbury, MA; m. Margaret Murphy.
Francis and Nancy (Freeman)(Sutton) Whitney had no known children.
Francis and Mary E. (Flagg) Whitney had no known children.
