Francis Henry7 Whitney (Israel6, Daniel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Israel6 and Sally (Mills) Whitney, was born 26 May 1825, Watertown, MA, and died 5 Aug 1901, Hudson, MA, aged 77 years 2 months 9 days, of heart disease.[1]
He married firstly, 12 Apr 1848, Marlborough, MA, Sarah E. Bruce, daughter of John and Sarah (Maynard) Bruce.[2] She was born 8 Nov 1825, Marlborough, MA, and died 6 Oct 1856, Marlborough, MA, aged 32 years, of consumption.[3]
He married secondly, 22 Apr 1858, Marlborough, MA, Mary Ellen Bruce, daughter of John and Sarah (Maynard) Bruce.[4] She was born 30 Nov 1842, Marlborough, MA, and died 20 Dec 1922.

Edwin Clifton Whitney, b. 27 Oct 1871, Hudson, MA;[10] m. Laura J. Flemming. v. Ethel Mae Whitney, b. 23 Aug 1875, Marlborough, MA; d. 12 Apr 1956; m. 12 Sep 1893, Marlboro or Stow, MA [recorded at Hudson, MA], Charles Newman Griffin, b. ca. 1870, NS, son of Stephen and Catherine (Spinney) Griffin.[11]
