George Arthur Whitney (George S., Jacob M., James), son of George S. and Delilah Jane (Gavett) Whitney, was born 23 Feb 1873, Cat Hollow, NY, and died 6 Apr 1962.
He married, 18 Dec 1902, Myrtie Amanda Becker, daughter of Harley and Amanda (Bigelow) Becker. She was born 5 Feb 1879, and died 18 Dec 1965.

i. Leona Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1904; m. 16 Nov 1929, Walter Johnson; resided Tabor, NJ. They had two daughters, Brenda and Linda. ii. Charles Eugene Whitney, b. 20 Feb 1909; m. 25 Jan 1948-9, Lulu Marion Kimmes, daughter of Rudolph Kimmes of White Sulfur Springs, NY; was in the U.S. Navy WWII; resided Burdette, NY. They had two daughters, Carolyn and Sharon. iii. George Becker Whitney, b. 12 Jan 1910; d. 17 Dec 1916. iv. Anna Amanda Whitney, b. 30 Dec 1910 m. 20 Sep 1942 Milton Lindsley ,1 daughter Jo Ann. v. Charles Arthur Whitney, b. 17 Nov 1916; d. 17 Nov 1916.
