George Drucker9 Whitney (Nathaniel Davis8, Elisha7, Elisha6, Elijah5, Daniel4, John3, John2, John1), son of Nathaniel Davis8 and Laura Ann (Langton) Whitney, was born 15 Apr 1849, Boston, MA,[1] and died 7 Nov 1878, Salem, MA, aged 29 years 6 months, of typhoid bronchitis.{{ref|2))

He married, 2 Apr 1873, Boston, MA, Marcia Bachelder, daughter of Alfred Johnson and Martha T. (Nudd) Bachelder.[2] She was born 3 Apr, Hampton, NH, and died 12 Mar 1924, Walpole, NH. She married secondly, 24 Jun 1893, St. Paul, MN, Darwin Jefferson Strader (1861-1915).

In 1874 he was a dry goods dealer living at 357 Columbus Ave., Boston, MA.

i. Laura L.10 Whitney, b. 18 Mar 1874, Boston, MA;[3] d. after 1933, then unmarried.
ii. Dorothy Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1877, MA; d. 15 Jun 1967, Newburyport, MA; unmarried.
