George Godfrey Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 17 Nov 1815 Rockingham, VT,[1] and died after 1880.

He married firstly, say 1847, Caroline M. Andrews. She was born about 1826, Rensselaer Co., NY, and died 1860-1870.

He married secondly, 1870-1880, Sarah A. [?Burtis?]. She was born about 1828, NY, and died after 1880.

They lived in Hoosick, NY, where he was a carpenter.
