George P.8 Whitney (Joseph7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Joseph7 and Rebecca (Priest) Whitney, was born about 1810, Watertown, MA, and died 7 Apr 1860, Watertown, MA, aged 50 years, of asthma, widower.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 3 Jun 1830, Westminster, MA, for him and Ruth Dunham "of Winchendon".[2] He "of Westminster" married 20 Jul 1830, Winchendon, MA, Ruth Dunham,[3] daughter of Alexander and May (-----) Dunham. She was born about Mar 1812, Winchester, MA, and died 14 Feb 1856, Watertown, MA, aged 43 years 11 months, of heart disease.[4]
