Family:Whitney, Henry (1808-1848)
Henry7 Whitney (Joseph6, James5, James4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Joseph6 and Hannah (Roberson) Whitney, was born 21 Oct 1808, Southeast, NY, and died 12 Sep 1848, Southeast, NY, where he was buried in the Drew Cemetery (near the southwest corner of the town).
He married, 1831, Croton Falls, NY, Lydia Knapp, daughter of Brundage and Lydia (Bishop) Knapp, of Starr's Ridge, in Southeast, and formerly of North Salem, NY. She was born 29 May 1809, North Salem, NY, and died after Jan 1875. She married secondly, 16 Aug 1866, Rufus Fancher, of Ridgefield, CT.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a farmer . . . . They settled in Southeast . . . . She married . . . Rufus Fancher, of Ridgefield, Conn.; and they were living there in Jan. 1875."

Sarah Matilda Whitney, b. 21 May 1839; d. after 1900; was living with her mother, in Ridgefield, CT, in Nov 1874, unmarried. v. George Washington Whitney, b. 1 Nov 1841; m. Sarah Ann Reynolds. vi. Samuel Brundage Whitney, b. 20 Aug 1844; d. 16 Oct 1846, Southeast, NY, where he was buried in the Drew Cemetery. vii. Lyman Whitney, b. 11 Sep 1847; d. 15 May 1848, Somers, NY, and was buried in Drew Cemetery, Southeast, NY.
