Henry8 Whitney (William Henry7, Henry6, Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of William Henry7 and Fanny (Miller) Whitney, was born 5 Dec 1814, Dummerston, VT, and died 25 Aug 1902, North Adams, MA.[1]
He married firstly, 27 Nov 1836, North Adams, MA, Lucy E. Sprague, daughter of Joshua and Betsey (Cummings) Sprague. She was born 7 Apr 1816, Stratton, VT, and died 14 or 15 Mar 1873, Adams, MA.[2]
He married secondly, 2 Jan 1874, Adams, MA, Lydia Louisa (Morris) Bratton, daughter of John and Lucy (Cummings) Morris.[3] She was born about 5 Feb 1826, Wilmington, VT, and died 12 Jul 1905, Lynn, MA, aged 81 years 5 months 7 days, of jaunice and obstruction of gall ducts.[4] She had married firstly Eudorus E. Bratton. She was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, MA.

Whitney, b. 13 May 1849, North Adams, MA, or "Adda Ann", b. 3 May 1849, Adams, MA.[8] vi. Betsey F.
