Henry8 Whitney (Moses7, Hananiah6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Moses7 and Sophia (Cutter) Whitney, was born 4 Nov 1819, and died before 1855, and probably before 1850.

He "of Richmond, Va." married, 21 Apr 1846, Worcester, MA, Jane Haskell Puffer, daughter of Seth and Achsah N. (-----) Puffer.[1] She was born about 1821, Worcester, MA. She married secondly, 18 Jun 1855, Worcester, MA, James F. Weston, of Bethel, VT, born about 1816, Bethel, VT, son of Daniel and Sylvia (-----) Weston.[2]

i. Ella9 Whitney, b. 23 Apr 1847, Richmond, VA.
ii. Henry Clifford Whitney, b. 3 Aug 1848, Worcester, MA.[3]
iii. Alfred Puffer Whitney, b. 3 Aug 1849, Richmond, VA, or Worcester, MA;[4] d. 18 Jul 1850, Worcester, MA, aged 11 months, of disease of the brain.[5]
