Henry S.8 Whitney (Amasa7, Samuel6, Elijah5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Amasa7 and Maria Tamzen (Snow) Whitney, was born 26 Jan 1858, New Bedford, MA,[1] and died 4 Dec 1933, Bronx, NY. He was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.[2]
He married, 3 May 1882, New Bedford, MA [also recorded in Cambridge, MA], Bessie Turner of Cambridge, daughter of James W. and Ann E. (-----) Turner.[3] She was born 14 Jun 1861, Boston, MA. They were divorced about 1887. She "of Cambridge" m.(2) 13 Jun 1889, Woburn, MA, Robert B. Wyman "of Woburn".[4]
He married secondly, before 1888, Ada L. Edwards. She was born 1 Jun 1865, NY, and died 9 Feb 1926, Bronx, NY. She was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.[5]
