Henry Sheldon⁸ Whitney (Elisha Miller⁷, Nathan⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Elisha Miller⁷ and Helen Sophia (Forman) Whitney, was born 24 Nov 1836, Poughkeepsie, NY, and died after 1880.

He married, 8 Apr 1863, Poughkeepsie, NY, Susan Disbrow, daughter of James Disbrow. She was born about 1845, Poughkeepsie, NY, and apparently died between 1873 and 1880.

Phoenix says:

. . . a carriage-maker . . . living, in 1873, at 135 Third Street, Brooklyn, N.Y.
